Visual log: Elevation

Images of a beautiful city, taken from above, Stockholm. It’s soo…Swedish? The city reminds me of Lego land, all buildings properly aligned, stacked neatly, next to each other.

Should there be: Women bishops in the Church?

This whole fiasco in the Anglican church could just be one more of the many reasons people today are turning away from a church, in droves. Source
Listening to this whole argument sounds so old and outdated, yet it’s quiet obvious that until today, institutions like the church have a huge role in continuing the [...]

Visual log: Point and shoot

Finally, I got to take photos with a point and shoot camera. The first time in a long time that’s for sure! I felt awkward getting used to the simplicity of this little camera! No need to adjust anything, just point at the object and take the picture! (Actually: I found [...]

Visual log: Swedish Winter

Here are a series of images from my first ever experience of a Swedish centre. I am from Australia and the whole concept of ‘freezing cold’ is unimaginable. This also came along with a loud silence that threatens one to face own self and thoughts. Click here to see all photos.

Resale Royalty rights for Australian artists

other Comments (0)

A good sign that the Australian government is looking to support and boost it’s thriving arts culture and artist creative rights.  Artists would be able to benefit for any resale of their works and some are calling for a rate of 5% and for any works sold over $500.  Not bad! Good for artists, good for art and good for the creative economy!  Let’s stay tuned!   See SMH.COM.AU source

Visual log: Art of Money

My own works, inspiration Comments (0)

Just to share with you a minor role I took in creating currency as a photographer for creation of The Robin, by artist Robin Bhattacharya. Who would have thought? One can make there own currency? As it turns out, yes!

The-ROBIN-Currency-757-SPECIMEN

The Robin Currency, was the winner of Kiefer Hablitzel Award and presented at Swiss Art Awards 2008, Basel, Switzerland. Robin has been able to show ‘visible how a certain value is transferred from money into art’.

‘Money has only so much value, as we give to it. We trust that the coin or note is universally seen as the representation of the value printed on it. This is the case with any currency: We believe the national banks that they stand for the value of the money, to that extent, in which we execute transactions in that currency.’ (See more of the Artist Statement:The ROBIN™ Currency)
